BES Acquires Activities to Share, a Company Specialising in Solutions for those Working with Individuals with Dementia

BES Rehab Ltd is pleased to announce the acquisition of Activities to Share, a company that provides dementia-friendly activity products. Click here to learn more about Activities to Share

Activities to Share has a whole array of simple products easily available from their website(www.activitiestoshare.co.uk), aimed at carers, personal assistants, and family members of individuals with dementia. The products range from sensory activities to table top games, all of which encourage an active social life, helping individuals feel happy and motivated. The charm of many of the games is that they are often as suitable for youngsters as for their older relatives, and just as easily can be played by both generations together.

The complementary acquisition is in keeping with BES’ plans to continue its growth and expansion in the healthcare industry. This venture extends BES’ reach to the dementia care market and enhances its online and direct sales opportunities.

Activities to Share was founded in 2010 by Anna Terry and Simon Birtles, two health and social care trainers with 15 years of experience training people who work with dementia patients in a care setting. Using their knowledge from firsthand experience, over time they developed their ideas for products, taking into account the specific needs of service users, care staff, and volunteers. Activities to Share now sells its products to private customers, hospitals and the community.

While increasing Activities to Share’s reach within the UK, BES is also looking to take their products to the Australian market, with the aid of Healthcare Innovation Australia (HIA) – BES’ Australian subsidiary. This addition to the BES stable comes only 18 months after the acquisition of Joncare, which brought a portfolio of products aimed at providing paediatric solutions to international markets.

Of the continuing expansion, Leyton Stevens, CEO of BES, said, “It’s an incredible time to be CEO of BES. Our continued growth demonstrates BES’ commitment to providing the best possible solutions for our customers. This would not be possible without the efforts of our incredibly dedicated workforce. The BES Operations team, Engineers, Sales and Marketing staff are amongst the most talented I have worked with and underpins the high level of service we provide our customers. Watch this space! We’ve a few more plans for BES, very exciting times ahead indeed”.
